Savings calculator

Your team types the same shipment twice. Put a number on it.

Operations in one system, accounts in another, and somebody in the middle keying the invoice a second time so the ledger agrees with the job file. In Cargonio a freight invoice posts its own journal voucher the moment it is finalised, so that second keying is not needed. Below is what it is costing you — with every sum shown, so you can argue with it.

Your figures

Nothing here is our number except the price

The starting figures are an example, not a claim about your office. Change every one of them. The results and the workings update as you type, and the address bar keeps up so you can send the link to whoever signs off the spend.

What re-keying costs you today

Jobs, consignments and house documents together
Only the ones who touch both systems
Copying between operations and accounts, not their whole job
Gross, for those same people
We start at a deliberately unambitious figure. Somebody still checks the postings, still fixes a wrong charge code, still keys the things no system can guess. Set this to whatever you would defend in a meeting.

Modules you would take

Every module is the same monthly rate, so this is a count, not a menu of prices. The base module is the operational core and cannot be dropped.

The answer

The arithmetic

Every figure above, with its sum written out

A forwarder who cannot see the sum will not trust the total, and should not. Here is each step with your numbers substituted in. Two conversions are ours rather than yours, and they are marked as such.

Hours a month spent re-keying people × h a week × 4.33 weeks a month (52 ÷ 12 — ours)
Which is, per shipment h × 60 ÷ shipments — a sanity check on the hours you typed, not a figure we are claiming
What an hour of that time costs a month ÷ 208 working hours (26 days × 8 hours — ours)
What re-keying costs you today h × an hour
Recovered by posting once instead of twice × % — your figure, and the one that decides the whole page
Software you stop paying for What you told us your current system costs a month
Saved each month recovered + software
Cargonio, every month modules × a module a month — from our price list
Software purchase and setup Quoted separately Paid once, at the start. It is not in these sums, so the figures below are the monthly case only
Net, every month saved − paid

Module fees only — the one-time setup fee is quoted separately and is not included in the columns below.

Over Saved Cargonio costs Difference

The cost column is the one-time fee plus the monthly fee for that many months. All amounts are in Pakistan Rupees and exclude sales tax, which is charged where applicable.

Read this before you quote it

What this estimate is, and what it is not

It is a model built out of six numbers you typed and two conversions we chose. It is not a promise, a quotation, or a forecast of your accounts.

  • 1 This counts one thing only: time spent typing the same shipment into a second system. It ignores every other difference between running one system and two, in both directions.
  • 2 It does not assume all the re-keying disappears. The proportion is an input, it starts by leaving a third of the work in place, and you should move it. Nobody's second system goes to zero.
  • 3 Salary is converted to an hourly rate at 208 working hours a month, and a week is 4.33 weeks of a month. Both are stated next to the sums that use them, and both are ours, not yours.
  • 4 Time recovered is not the same as money recovered. Hours freed up only become cash if that person's work changes. Read the result as capacity first.
  • 5 Nothing here includes the cost of your own people's time during setup and training, or the weeks where both systems run side by side. That cost is real and this page does not charge you for it.
  • 6 Cargonio's figures are the published price list and nothing else — the one-time fee, and a flat monthly rate for each module switched on. Amounts exclude sales tax.
  • 7 If the sums come out against us, the page says so plainly. A calculator that can only produce good news is an advertisement, and you already know how much those are worth.
  • 8 Your own numbers are the ones that matter. If you cannot defend an input in front of the person paying, change it until you can.

Check the number against the real thing

The estimate is only worth as much as the assumption underneath it. The quickest way to test that assumption is to raise a freight invoice in Cargonio, finalise it, and go and look at the trial balance.
