🧑‍💼 HR & Payroll

Employees, attendance and leave

Setting up the people file, marking attendance and handling leave requests.

HR Management holds the people file and everything that hangs off it. Build the small code files first — Departments, Designations, Shifts, Locations, Leave Types — then add the employees.

Adding an employee

  1. Open HR Management → Employees and press + Add Employee.
  2. Fill in Employee Code and Full Name — both required — then Designation, Department, Email and Phone.
  3. Fill the personal block: Joining Date, Employee Number, Gender, Date of Birth, Marital Status, Marriage Date, Personal Phone, Address.
  4. Fill the organisation block: Location, Shift, Reports To, Is a Manager.
  5. Fill the employment block: Annual CTC, Monthly Salary, Probation Start and End, Notice Start and End, End Date, Status.
  6. To give them a portal login, set Create Portal Login to "Yes — let them sign in". Their email becomes their username; leave Temporary Password blank to have one generated.
Note Portal logins are managed from this screen — there is no separate staff screen. The Profile action on each row opens the full employee record.

Attendance

ScreenWhat it does
Mark AttendanceThe daily marking screen.
Attendance RecordsThe stored records, editable.
Attendance SummaryThe month at a glance, per employee.
Attendance CorrectionsCorrections raised against a marked day.
Shift RosterWhich shift each employee is on.

Leave

Leave Types defines the categories and Leave Requests holds the applications. Employees raise their own from the portal; HR sees and decides them here.

The rest of the module

HR also carries Assets and Asset Types, Appreciations and Awards, Resignations, Letter Heads, Warnings, Complaints, Generated Letters, Holidays, News & Announcements, Company Policies, Surveys and Survey Questions, and Field Groups / Custom Fields for anything the standard form does not capture.
