🚢 Sea export & import

Sea import: manifests and inbond shipments

Capturing a shipment at arrival, then working it up into a full inbond job.

Sea import is two screens, in sequence. The manifest is the short capture keyed from the line's IGM as the vessel arrives; the inbond job is the full folder the desk then works. A record belongs to exactly one of the two screens, so neither list ever shows the other's work.

Manifest the arrival

  1. Open Transactions Menu (Sea Import) → Manifest Inbond Shipments (Sea-Import).
  2. Press add. Fill the Manifest block: Job No, Job Year, Date, Branch, Console Job and Console Job Year, Final Date, Job Type, Nomination.
  3. Fill in the vessel and rotation details, the MBL, and the party.
  4. Key the house bills into the house grid. The "Total of HBL" boxes are computed from those rows, not typed.
  5. Save.
The manifest list
  • Job No · Date · MBL No · HBL No · Party · Vessel · Rotation · IGM No · ETA · Arrived · Status.

The inbond job

Inbond Shipment Entry and Documents Printing (Sea-Import) is the working folder. As well as the container and house grids it carries two sub-tables the export screens do not have:

GridColumns
Container SecurityInstrument · No · Date · Amount — the security lodged per container.
Documents ListDocument · No · Date · Remarks — the paperwork received against the shipment.
  1. Press + Add security for each instrument lodged.
  2. Press + Add document as paperwork arrives.
  3. Save, then print the Delivery Order and Job Sheet from 🖨 Print on the list.
